Seeds of Hope Garden Project

The Seeds of Hope Garden Project invites our youth ages 10 to 25 to join a new movement in Indianola that is planting hope, health, and opportunity in the Mississippi Delta.

This youth-centered garden project will teach organic gardening, nutrition, cooking, leadership, and the value of land ownership. It is also meant to be a model for other Delta communities to follow.

We especially honor the legacy of our elders, our grandmama’nem, who helped build the Delta into the Cotton Kingdom of the world through their strength, wisdom, and labor. Now it is our turn to honor them by planting our own gardens and making them grow.

Join us for Orientation & Registration on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 12:00 Noon in the green space beside da’ House of Khafre, 300 Main Street, Indianola.

Parents, youth, elders, and the entire community are invited. Come be a part of something that will bless this generation and the next.

Come plant with us and help grow the future of the Delta.
